Barbara Rabtoy was named acting Town Clerk when longtime Clerk Rachel Lynds announced her retirement in late 2010. Rabtoy has been a Plymouth resident for 28 years, since moving here from Unity, New Hampshire.
The Town Clerk position appealed to Rabtoy because she enjoys working with people and always liked working with numbers in her past jobs. Town leadership is also part of her family’s tradition – her grandfather was a selectman in Unity for 45 years.
Barbara has worked as an office manager and receptionist for several medical offices in the region and she is a familiar face to many from her days at the register of the Tyson General Store. She has a 33-year-old son who lives in Springfield, Vermont. She and her significant other, fire warden Joe Rebideau, are also proud owners of a chocolate lab pup, Dolly.
