Oh, today (Monday) is such a lovely day so far. Sitting outside to journal this morning, I was not even attacked by bugs! The Saturday wedding at the church also had good weather. It is always a joy to unite two people in marriage & to see the love that they share!
Missed Sue Poirier’s birthday on 6/4 & by the time this gets into print, my Tom’s birthday (6/6) will also have passed. Coming up for 6/14 – Doris Earle, Bette Anne Sailer, Matt Harrotunian, Theresa Steward, Natalie Raymond, & me. Congratulations to one & all!
I understand that Emily DuPont & Jillian Hale did an excellent job in the Adams School of Dance production that was held at the Paramount on 6/4. In the audience were Kathy Lynds, Julia Kolwalski, & Samantha Lynds, who enjoyed the performance & seeing their friends on stage.
At the Tyson Ladies Aid meeting last week, it was learned that the Scholarship Committee picked Kyle Anderson (WUHS) & Victor Curullo (Black River) to be this year’s scholarship recipients. The proceeds from the shortcake sales at the Strawberry Festival (6/22) will help to replenish the fund!
The Tyson Library opened for the season on 6/4. The hours will be 10:00 to noon, Tuesday – Saturday. Sally Nadeau will be there from 6:00-7:00 PM on the 1st & 3rd Monday for those who can’t make it during the day. There are many good books, so be sure to visit this tiny building with a large selection of reading materials!
Don’t forget that the new hours for the Town Clerk’s Office will be MONDAY – THURSDAY 8:00AM – 5:00PM (no lunch closing), FRIDAY 8:00AM -12:00PM & THE SECOND SATURDAY OF THE MONTH 8:00AM – 12:00PM.
