Tis the season for graduations! Congratulations to Christian Jackman, Emily Lynds, Adam Parker, & Paige Vosburgh who graduated from Woodstock Union High School & to Naomi Sheldon who will be graduating from Black River. I was able to participate in Baccalaureate at the United Church for those at Black River & it was a very nice service.
A couple of reminders, the Strawberry Festival is coming up 6/22 at Camp Plymouth State Park & hopefully this crazy weather will have come to an end by that time. No matter, though, for it will be held rain or shine! The storms have certainly been fierce, whipping in quickly with such intense thunder & lightening – leaving some without power, but hopefully without any injuries.
The next Historical Society Meeting will be 6/26 at 3:30 at their building on Rte 100, at which time final plans for the upcoming July 4th celebration of our town’s 250th anniversary will be made. Anyone can attend & all are encouraged to help!
Grinders & salads will be on the menu for the Reach Out Luncheon at 11:00 AM on Thurs 6/15, downstairs at the church. Hazel King will be talking about the recent book that has been published on the town of Reading. As usual, there will be good food & lively conversation!
