From Jill Davies, Plymouth Recovery Assistance Coordinator
The Town of Plymouth has set up a volunteer recovery effort to assist Plymouth residents and homeowners impacted by Hurricane Irene get the help they need to repair and rebuild.
We have three teams involved in this effort
The Recovery Assistance Team has set up office in the Plymouth school and is ready to help those impacted by Hurricane Irene. They can help with your FEMA registration or with the next steps. They are researching other resources too and will gather information to share with residents. If you have a need, visit with them at the school, call 672-3666, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Farm and Wilderness Team is managing community volunteer clean-up projects. If you have a clean-up project that volunteers can help with get in touch with the Recovery Assistance Team and we’ll work with F&W to make it happen. Or if you can volunteer with some manual work let us know.
The Plymouth Memory Tree Team is launching a fund raising campaign to be able to help financially. If you have a financial need the Recovery Assistance team can help you with the steps to apply.
The Recovery Assistance Center in the school will be open
Monday through Friday 2pm to 6:30pm
Saturday 9am to 5pm
We’re planning on closing the office by October 24 unless we need to be here longer.
