Well, what a lot of light beautiful snow has come our way! I suppose it was helpful to have it arrive on the weekend, although it did hamper some local events. Folks did manage to get out & attend the festivities at the Historic Site, but certainly not in numbers that had been anticipated.
Tyson Ladies Aid had several wonderful soups, chili, & baked goods on hand. They happily served folks who did venture out & even managed to feed some of the other workers on Site. The snow provided a lovely backdrop for the sleigh ride – a perfect VT picture!
I guess it is going to happen, Laurie Marechaux will be holding monthly craft classes at the Plymouth Community Center (formerly the Plymouth Elementary School), so I will post more info as it becomes available.
Did you see that the Echo Lake Inn will be having $24.00 Friday night specials from 12/13 – 3/14, not including holiday weeks. This offer is to celebrate Chef Kevin’s 24 years at Executive Chef & includes soup or salad, choice of 4 entrees, & dessert! Call 228-6802 for reservations
More dining options in town. The Inn at Water’s Edge is still having their $25.00 Thursday night Italian specials. Be sure to make a reservation at 228-8143. Next week I will include some other dining news!
A final reminder about the festivities at Tyson Church on Sunday 12/22. Our Annual Community Candlelight Service starts at 7:00 PM. We will sing beloved Christmas carols; reflect upon God’s special gift of love, Jesus Christ; hear a children’s story; & enjoy refreshments & a time to greet one another downstairs afterward. All are invited! The offering this year will go to Nolan Alberty’s family. There will also be cookie decoration for area young people starting at 5:00 PM, under the direction of Kathy Lynds, Pizza will be served, so if possible let Kathy know at email@example.com if you plan to attend.
