Well, in case you were wondering what happened to me last week – I just didn’t get it done! My babysitting schedule has changed to Mondays, which means I need to submit the column on Sunday night. Karen Evans, Naomi Moyer, & I went snowshoeing on Sunday afternoon (1/5), then I went to sleep early, never giving it a thought until I was in bed dozing off that Monday night!
Tyson Ladies Aid met on 1/9 this month, a week later than usual. Plans for the year were mapped out – Good Friday Bake Sale at Shaw’s in Ludlow, participating in the Strawberry Festival in June, & of course the Bazaar in August. The group usually meets the 1st Thursday of each month downstairs in Tyson Church. Although holding their meetings there, It is not actually a church organization & is not limited to Plymouth residents either! New members are always welcome.
The Reach Out Luncheon will also be held a week later this month – 1/23, in the downstairs Community Room at Tyson Church. This is a cooperative effort of Tyson Ladies Aid & Tyson Church. The speaker, at 11:00 AM, will be Brandon Bergey, who will present a video of Bethany Birches campers. The menu will be hot dogs, salads, & wonderful maple squares & brownies with Maple Creamie ice cream from the Green Mountain Sugar House (thanks, Ann!)
Despite the icy conditions, the church was full for the baptism of our grandson, Landon Thomas Perrino. Meghan Garrow & Brad Southworth were godparents & big brother, Owen enjoyed being up front during the ceremony. A sumptuous luncheon followed at the Echo Lake Inn!
I understand that exam week is coming up in Woodstock & then before you know it, winter break will be happening. It just seems like time flies lately, but it has been nice to see that the daylight hours are getting longer!
I only know of one birthday, Cindy Vosburg on 1/20, so best wishes to her. I will gladly note other birthdays, anniversaries, & other momentous occasions, if you let me know…..
