The new version of the AARP course, entitled “SMART DRIVER,” will be held at the Plymouth School Activity Center on June 6th. This edition, released this year, contains useful and practical information based on the latest research on senior drivers. It will be presented by Plymouth resident Bill Cherico, a local AARP-trained program provider.
Some of the topics to be discussed include the new technology in vehicles, adapting to changing driving conditions and roadways, and changes in driver reaction time as we grow older. The course is four hours in length with registration starting at 9:30 am, the program begins at 10:00 am, and concludes at 3 pm.
The cost of the course is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. The price includes extensive program materials.
Participants should bring their lunch. The Plymouth Schoolhouse Activity Center, located on Route 100, just north of the Town Hall in Plymouth, includes a kitchenette with a refrigerator that can be used to keep lunches cold and a stove and microwave for heating or cooking.
For more information and to RSVP, contact presenter Bill Cherico at 802.672.1823, or email@example.com.
